Seventy miles an hour and the windows up tight....And I am home.

1000 miles round road trip taking in four countries and some of the best bands, and sites northern europe has to offer. What better way to spend a weekend with your homeboys!!! For anyone that has not yet had the chance to go to Groezrock, What are you waiting for! This was our third year straight, and arguably the best to date!

Two cars and ten guys set off from the seaside at 2am friday morning headed for Dover. Some hours and some 20 cigarettes later we touched down in Dunkirk. Sun is shining and the "radio's playing queen, we're rocking out"! France went past in a blur and before we know it we had arrived in Meerhout Belgium. Tents up, music cranked, beers opened, Lets get weird!!! Thursday played Full Collapse in Full, Millencolin rolled back the years and Chris Carraba has rejoined Further Seems Forever just in time to blow my mind!!. Friday is done! i am fucking tired and gonna try catch forty winks, Alas i think i only got about twelve :-/

Saturday... for some reason i cannot be arsed to move today. If i make it into the festival to see Dashboard at 5ish i will be a happy man. Other than that i am more than happy basking in the glow of the 30 degree sunshine, and our matching orange tents. Thursday played us some of their new stuff which sounded pretty dope, Dashboard we're incredible, a perfect set and we nearly lost our emo voices. The mrs just text me to tell me Torres has finally scored too! Super!!!. Just enough time to get back to the tents for what would become the beginning of a very very strange evening. I won't go into too much detail but remember that movie "The Hangover" good, thats pretty much what happened to the ten of us. All i know is that we missed The Descendants which was criminal! just about caught the Dropkicks which was awesome and somehow managed to drag ourselves to see Saves The Day blow our tiny brains. Everything else is a blur. Pretty sure i caught some of NOFX too, who can say?

Thanks Belgium You have been a blast but we are out!!! So with our fried brains and zero sleep where shall we go? Home?? Hell no!! Amsterdam!!! Common sense should prevail in these kinds of situations but not for us!

I love this city!!!! smoke on, eat on, drink on!! Lets get weird again!!! fast forward 36 confusing hours and we are now at a bike rental place. Hiring bikes in this place is the coolest thing to do! My personal mission was to find a windmill. I succeeded!

Its now Tuesday morning and we are ready to head back to old blighty. Happy to report all ten made it back safe. Happy days!! Until next time! Ciao!
